This beach is one of the finest on the whole island. Its name means ´land of fig-trees` because in the area there are fields full of these fruit trees. The beach is formed by two adjoining beaches which are separated by a small spit of land which is connected to the coast by a strip of sand. The beach is ideal for families and offers a range of nautical activities. The beach has been awarded the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Certificate.
Access
From Sant Carles along the road towards the northern part of the centre of town following the road signs.
Dimensions
Measuring some 400 meters in length, it varies between 40 and 50 metres wide.
Tipology
It has fine, dark and natural coloured sands alternating with rocky zones. The seabed alternates between sandy and rocky areas.
